In my work with individuals who’ve experienced significant trauma, I witnessed how the act of creating is one of the most important parts of healing. Through the creative process, survivors of trauma can regain their sense of self, restore connections to those around them, and reclaim meaning. This will help you overcome barriers to creativity and lack of motivation.
Utilizing the tools I’ve developed specifically assist creatives, I will work with you to:
Together, explore and enhance what makes you unique and the components of your unique voice and message
Integrate your experiences into a narrative that is unique to you
Identify and understand complex emotions
Access your truest self
Understand and overcome resistance and barriers to creative expression (i.e. self-criticism, limiting beliefs, cognitive barriers, parts of self that are walled off)
Engage compassionately with all parts of yourself
Creativity requires a level of vulnerability that can be daunting and painful. Navigating the creative process together can mitigate the difficulty.
Motivation does not always automatically lead to results. Most of us require accountability from a trusted source.
